Barefoot Bowls

Barefoot bowls is great fun and a perfect excuse for family and friends to get together. Moorabbin Bowls Club is very close to public transport, and we have free onsite parking.

Book now for Friday evenings of Summer Barefoot Bowls on our Keith Lassig Grass Green. It’s only $15 per person and includes green fees, sets of bowls, jacks and mats. We will also help you get setup and give you a few tips to get you started. We don’t impose a time limit, so you can bowl until dark.

The Bar will be open with a wide range of drinks (Schooners are only $8, wine from $7, pre-mixed drinks $11) which you can enjoy Greenside or in the club rooms. You can purchase drinks individually over the bar or set up a bar tab on your arrival. We practice the Responsible Serving of Alcohol. You can also use our BBQ facilities or bring your own food and snacks.

Barefoot bowling is available on Friday afternoons/evenings from 4:00pm, October to March. For groups of 20 or more, you can also book for Sunday afternoons.

 FAQs

  • You may bring your own food and snacks and you can use the BBQ at no charge. Please let us know on the booking form wo we can provide you with utensils and make sure the BBQ is hot when you're ready.

  • We are a fully licensed venue therefore alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the club. Our bar stocks a range of beers (tap & bottled). wines, pre-mixed and non-alchoholic drinks and spirits at very reasonable prices. There are also cooled water fountains near the Greens for you to be able to refil bottles. Please CLICK HERE, for our Bar Menu.

  • Barefoot Bowls is available on Friday afternoons/evenings from 4:00pm, October to March. for groups of 20 or more you can also book for Sunday afternoons.

  • You can bowl barefoot or wear any flat-soled shoes including sandals and thongs. Please, no heels.

  • No worries at all. A member from our club will provide your group with a rundown of the game and a quick tutorial. We provide bowls of various sizes and weights.

  • We're a family friendly club, so children under 15yrs can play for $10.00. Please include the number of children in your group so we can provide them with child-specific bowls.

  • we will allocate rinks for you, based on the number of people you book for. We will generally allocate up to 8 people on each rink.

  • Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, including on the Green. Please request "wheelchair access required" when booking so we can have the equipment required ready.

  • If you cancel more than 14 days prior to the date of your event, you can opt to reschedule your booking to another date (pending availability, or have the payment fully refunded. For cancellations made within 14 days of the booking, we are more than happy to re-schedule the booking, again, pending availability.

  • In the event of inclement or extreme weather, we will refund your booking or reschedule to another time, subject to availability. Light rain/showers will not cause the Green to be closed. You can always come inside and play pool, darts or table tennis.

  • Once you have booked on line (TryBooking), you will receive an email confirmation of the time and date and any other related information.
